Celissa "Chris" D'Agostino (née McCann), of Baltimore Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at the age of 67. She was surrounded by loved ones. She Is survived by her loving children, Jesse (Olga) D'Agostino and Hannah D'Agostino (Duane Drafts). Chris was predeceased by her parents, Jacquelyn and Samuel McCann, her beloved daughter Havilah D'Agostino, and her cherished dogs, Indy, Masie, and Merlie.

Chris brought friendship, compassion, and kindness to others. She really loved Jesus and always held on to her faith. She was sassy, quick-witted, and full of energy. She was a dedicated pediatric registered nurse at John Hopkins Hospital and served as a nurse in hospitals across the United States for over 30 years. She cared deeply for the children and patients she served. She provided comfort and kindness to others during their most difficult moments. Chris embraced life with a vibrant spirit, playing piano from an early age, and blessed with a beautiful singing voice. She often filled the house with singing at the top of her lungs and blasting her favorite songs. She sang with the Canticle Singers, the Sweet Adelines, and the Towson Community Choir.

Chris found joy in the simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and an over-the-top gardener, with a two green thumbs. She enjoyed bird watching and feeding the hummingbirds. She was a ridiculously good cook. She lived and raised her family around the globe- in places like Coronado Island, Kansas, Spain, and Monterey, California. She traveled and explored places like Spain, Austria, Amsterdam, and Paris - which was her favorite. She had a knack for pronunciation of languages, she studied Latin, and she was fluent in Spanish. She adored her dogs, Indy, Merlie, and Masie. Chris loved coffee, musicals, art, and stand-up comedy. She loved to go to museums, art exhibits, concerts, and the theatre, any chance she could get.

She will always be remembered for music, laughter and wry observations about life she shared with others. Chris was a fighter until the end. She loved her family and friends deeply. She will be missed and loved forever.

Services at Serenity Ridge Natural Burial Cemetery, 2406 Ridge Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 212444, on Wednesday, May 20th at 2:00 pm. Contributions in her memory can be left to the Maryland State Boy Choir or your local SPCA.

There will be a visitation with the family at Chris's home at 114 West Melrose Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210, On Wednesday, May 20th from 4pm- 7pm, followed by a Memorial Concert with the Maryland State Boy Choir at 3400 Norman Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21213 at 8pm. The concert is free to all and will be followed with a cake and champagne reception.
