Obituary

Earl Howard Bryson, of Pikesville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the age of 76. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sonia Bryson (née Martin); his cherished children, Howard Bryson (Sasha Turner Bryson) and Annica Bryson; his beloved siblings, Maurice (Sonia) Bryson, Marjorie Stewart, Orville Bryson, Michael Bryson, and Kweku Osei (Beverly Cambridge); and his treasured grandchildren, Zaria Turner Bryson and Nyo Turner Bryson. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Joy Bryson; his brother-in-law, Linval Stewart; his nephew, Kevin Stewart; and his loving parents, Jeremiah and Pilarcita Bryson.

Born in Jamaica in 1949, Earl carried a deep love for his culture, family, and lifelong friendships throughout his life. He was a graduate of Kingston Technical High School and later earned his MBA from Adelphi University. After immigrating to the United States in the early 1980s, he built a career as a telecommunications engineer and became known as a hardworking, dependable, and generous man who was always willing to help others.

Earl had a lifelong love of sports, particularly football, table tennis, and Jamaican track and field. Many of his close friends knew him for his love of playing table tennis, while others knew how proudly he followed Jamaica's national athletes and his enjoyment of watching sports whenever he could. He also loved classic reggae music, particularly Bob Marley, which kept him closely connected to his Jamaican roots.

Above all, Earl was deeply devoted to his family and will be remembered for his warmth, humor, loyalty, and quiet strength. His kindness and presence touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Contributions in Earl's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
