Gail Anne Curran, of Davidsonville, MD, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 81. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Moore Clusen; her loving daughter Cara Anne Clusen (Mihaly Balazs); and her cherished stepchildren, Cynthia Clusen Sherwood (late Parker Bennett Sherwood III) and Christopher Charles Clusen (Megan Marie Griffith). Gail was a devoted and proud “Nana” or “Nanny” to her adoring grandchildren Parker Bennett Sherwood IV, Laurel Brynn Sherwood, Alexander Joseph Clusen, Cailey Anne Nyhan, Bendeguz Oliver Balazs, Alma Prairie Rose Clusen, and Lili Charlotte Balazs. She was predeceased by her parents Anne Mary (Woyasz) Curran, and Dennis Joseph Curran.

Gail was a graduate of Dickinson College and earned her PhD from George Washington University. She devoted more than 30 years of her professional life as a Clinical Psychologist in the Washington, DC area where she was deeply committed to helping others. She will be remembered for her warm personality, kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Services are private at this time. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gail's honor to the Arlington Community Food Bank, where she was a long-time and dedicated volunteer.
