Mary Del Bianco

Mary Del Bianco, of Washington, DC, passed away on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at the age of 69. She was an artist, a dedicated and magical mother and wife, an inspiring educator, a lifelong learner, and her favorite role of all was Noni. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mark Del Bianco; her loving children, Jesse, Dylan, Veronica and Tracy; her brother and sister Joe and Michele Shimek; and her deeply cherished grandchildren, Maggie, Grace, Alice, Kayleigh, Robin, Wren, Ellie and Miles. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Shimek.

Services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at Glen Echo Park, 7300 Macarthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD 20812, on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11AM, followed by lunch. Attire is casual, color is encouraged. Mary loved and admired the Asheville, NC River Arts District. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be sent to RAD's Hurricane Relief Fund (www.riverartsdistrict.com) to support the artists of the River Arts District after Hurricane Helene's historic flooding destroyed their buildings, art, and supplies.
