Shannon Michelle Buschner

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved daughter Shannon Michelle Buschner, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 47.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Shannon attended Honeoye Falls–Lima High School before moving to Maryland to pursue her studies at the University of Maryland, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. She went on to build a successful career as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power industry at Orano USA TN, where she worked for the last 13 years.

Throughout her life, Shannon formed deep and lasting bonds with those around her. She will be remembered for her intelligence, love, joy, warmth, and unwavering loyalty to the people she loved. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her loving parents, Kenneth and Michelle Buschner; her devoted brother, Benjamin Buschner; her cherished sister, Caitlin Buschner (Mark Benjamin); many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a wide circle of treasured lifelong friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the National MS Society, Upstate New York Chapter.
